We use mobile technology and the application of advanced audio analysis techniques to create a software platform in which students in a vocal ensemble receive a real-time assessment of the accuracy of their singing. Through this, teachers have real-time results from individual members, allowing more efficient and more targeted teaching techniques. Ultimately, the students receive individualized feedback and instruction they would likely not receive in a large ensemble, and teachers have a clearer understanding of the needs of the ensemble.
